Glenn has a history of fighting for Michigan families and workers.  He spent almost three decades working for the Ford Motor Company and has been a member of the UAW since 1972.  He served his fellow employees in the capacity of committeeman and assisted in local agreement negotiations.

Glenn is an active public servant, working with the Westland Goodfellows, Westland Civitans, Wayne-Westland Jr. Miss Scholarship Program and is a former member of the Westland Jaycees and the Churchill High School PTA.  Glenn has been a regular volunteer for community projects including the Rouge Cleanup and building of the children’s playscape.  Additionally, Glenn is a member of the Western Wayne NAACP and a Democratic Precinct Delegate. 

Glenn has served the people of Westland for six years as their State Representative. He was elected by his colleagues to serve as Democratic Caucus Chair for 2003 – 2004 and was selected by the Council of State Governments for the prestigious BILLD and Toll Fellowships.  Glenn has been recognized with numerous awards, including “Legislator of the Year” by the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police.  Prior to entering the Legislature in 2000, Glenn served on the Westland City Council where he developed his expertise on transportation issues and the how to make local government work effectively and efficiently.

Glenn is a proud product of Michigan’s public school system and he attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn and Wayne State University.

Glenn and his wife Gail have lived in Westland for almost 30 years.  They have two children, Melissa and Kyle, as well as two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Logan.
